D3 SILOXANE PAINT

Description of the semi-thick matt coating based on acrylic resin and siloxane : 

• For exterior use, new or renovation of vertical surfaces of buildings, on concrete and prefabricated derivatives, masonry elements coated with traditional cement mortar or single-coat hydraulic plaster, facing bricks, glass paste and sandstone-ceramics of dimensions smaller than 7.5x7.5 cm, bare or coated with old adherent paints in good condition, after a suitable fixative.
• In D3 decorative and I1 waterproofing systems. In renovation of waterproofing after prior study and of old RPE and ETICS (K2/K3).

Strengths of the semi-thick matt coating based on acrylic resin and siloxane :

• Antifungal protection of the dry film Good resistance to soiling
• Suitable for class K2 maintenance of old external thermal insulation.

Application of the semi-thick matt coating based on acrylic resin and siloxane :

• The substrates must comply with the relevant DTUs, in particular NF DTU 59.1 (for decorative systems - D3) and 42.1 (for waterproofing systems - I1).
• Prior recognition is necessary in order to determine the most suitable preparation for their condition and nature.
• Substrates contaminated by moss, algae or fungi must be treated with an anti-cryptogamic solution (algicide and fungicide) in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, followed by a HP rinse to remove any remaining residues.
• Substrates with saltpetre should be treated by brushing. Where possible, remove the cause of the saltpetre to prevent its recurrence. In the presence of snails, suitable means must be used to prevent contamination of the facades: gravel filling around the perimeter, natural or chemical repellents, etc. In the case of previously painted surfaces, a preliminary study must be carried out in accordance with Annex A of NF DTU 42.1.

• In general, after preparation, the surfaces must be sound, cohesive, normally absorbent, clean and dry in order to receive 250g/m² of D3 SILOXANE diluted with 10% water before applying 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE.

• On old unformed concrete, prefabricated concrete with low absorption or traditional hydraulic plaster or single-layer porous, powdery or old Pliolites® with a high content of flour, after preparation: apply a coat of 180-250g/m² of solvent-based acrylic fixative, before applying 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE
• On normally absorbent concrete substrates, hydraulic plaster, bare or coated with old adherent paint in good condition, with little or no chalking: after preparation, apply a coat of 200-250g/m² of IMPRESSION, before applying 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE.
• On walls insulated with a thin coating on expanded polystyrene (ETICS) presenting type I disorders, after preliminary study for any surface greater than 250m² and over R+2, preparation with in particular a decontamination of the surfaces, application of a coat of D3 SILOXANE diluted with 5% water before the application of 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE
• On old single layer scraped rendering, after preparation, apply a coat of 200 to 250g/m² of PROMUREX IMPRESSION, before applying 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE.
• On well adhering porcelain stoneware and glass paste surfaces, after preparation, apply a coat of primer before applying 450-500g/m² of undiluted D3 SILOXANE
